This page allows customizing of Smart.Templates behavior and maintaining the templates list.

The following options are available:

Scope

The Scope combobox allows selection of template list to maintain.

Productivity! Smart.Templates Page - Scope Combobox

The following scopes are currently supported.

• User Home - specifies the template list that belongs to the currently logged in user. All the templates belonging to this scope are stored in the files .templates located in the /.jbuilder folder.
• JBuilder Home - specifies the template list that is JBuilder wide so it is available for all users those use this installation of JBuilder. All the templates belonging to this scope are stored in the files .templates located in the /Productivity folder.

All the templates from all available scopes are merged allowing transparent usage of templates defined in any scope. Templates defined in the User Home scope have priority over ones defined in JBuilder Home one.

Templates

The Templates table shows the list of templates available in currently selected scope and it allows selection of particular template to maintain. There is ability to easy find required template using incremental search capabilty.

Productivity! Smart.Templates Page - Templates Table

New

The New button allows creation of a new template. After pressing of this button the Edit Template Dialog is showing which allows specifying miscellaneous attributes of newly created template.

Edit

The Edit button allows maintenance of currently selected template. After pressing of this button the Edit Template Dialog is showing which allows specifying miscellaneous attributes of selected template.

Copy

The Copy button allows creation of a new template using currently selected template as a prototype. After pressing of this button the Edit Template Dialog is showing which allows specifying miscellaneous attributes of newly created template. There is ability to create a copy in the scope that differs from current. After pressing the button with triangle icon the popup menu with the set of options is showing. The Copy to submenu allows selection of the scope to copy.

Remove

The Remove button allows removal of currently selected template.

The Reset button allows re-setting of currently selected template to the definition provided by Productivity!. This option provides ability to restore the original template definition to drop the changes made by the user or to apply newest one bundled with the latest Productivity! version. There is ability to execute even more actions. After pressing the button with triangle icon the popup menu with the set of options is showing that allows choosing the following additional actions:

• Reset All - allows re-setting definitions for all templates.
• Reset All New - allows adding the new template definitions shipped with the latest Productivity! version

Code

The Code editor pane provides preview of currently selected template.

Quick Expand Key

This options group allows selection of key can be used to quickly expand a template which name is match to the word at caret.

Import

The Import button invokes the Import Built-in Templates wizard that allows importing templates built-in in JBuilder.
